2019 Bajaj Avenger 220 ABS Spotted, llike to launch in January

Bajaj is shortly launching the new Avenger 220 motorcycle in India, along with the anti-lock braking system. The low-end cruiser bike has been spotted with this safety feature in recent times, the company can launch the new Bajaj Avenger 220 ABS in January 2019. Similar Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 has been given to this type of single-channel ABS available in the bike's cruiser and street version. The company will also make this safety feature available in the Avenger 180, which was launched last year as an Avenger 150.

The Indian government has made the anti-lock braking system mandatory in all two-wheelers from April 1, 2019, in which the company has enough time to equip its vehicles with this feature. Now it is mandatory to have the anti-lock braking system with all the bikes that are more than 125cc and it is mandatory to have combi breaking system with vehicles with less than 125 cc capacity. There is no technical change besides this in the bike and it will launch with 220cc single-cylinder, which generates 19 bhp power and 17.5 Nm torque. The company has equipped this engine with a 5-speed gearbox.



It is estimated that the price of Bajaj Avenger 220 ABS will be over 10,000 rupees.

Bajaj has not highlighted the price of the bike at the moment, but it is estimated that the price of Bajaj Avenger 220 ABS will be more than 10,000 rupees, at present the bikes of the Ex-showroom price in Delhi is 96,222 rupees. There is limited competition in the market of Avenger 220 and motorcycles like Suzuki Intruder 150 ABS and Royal Enfield Classic 350 ABS are available to compete in the country. In addition to Bajaj, Piaggio has also made ABS available in Vespa VXL 150 with Aprilia SR 150 and Vespa SXL.
