KTM RC200 Red Bull MotoGP edition showcased

- Was showcased at a show in Jakarta, Indonesia

- Gets a livery inspired by KTM MotoGP race bike

- Unlikely to be launched as a production motorcycle

KTM has showcased a Red Bull MotoGP edition of its fully-faired offering, the RC200, in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The motorcycle was adorned with a livery inspired by KTM’s MotoGP race bike. With black being the base colour, it carries bold graphics on its body panels making this RC200 truly attention-grabbing. It boasts of a huge Red Bull branding running from its fuel tank to the fairing, accompanied by a ‘KTM’ and ‘Motorex’ badging. What makes it further distinctive is a Red Bull logo sitting prominently on the windscreen. Besides the livery, the motorcycle remains unchanged in terms of mechanicals.

The KTM RC200 is powered by a 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor which churns out 24.6bhp at 10,000rpm and 19.2Nm at 8,000rpm. This unit comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. Underpinned by a steel trellis frame, the motorcycle is suspended by WP upside down forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, braking is taken care of by a 300mm disc up front and a 230mm disc at the rear with dual-channel ABS being offered as standard.

The KTM RC200 Red Bull MotoGP edition is unlikely to be launched as a mass production bike as the company didn’t make any such announcement. The motorcycle is priced at Rs 1.90 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) and it competes against the Kawasaki Ninja 300, Benelli 302R and the TVS Apache RR310.
